Seven parcels in Nashville, if you want to stay dry
Vacant, over ten acres, half a mile from an interstate, outside the 100-year floodplain. Screened before anyone drives out, the whole county comes down to seven parcels.

Elena wanted the screen run before anyone drove out to a site. Sam gave NeuraCities the whole screen in one question, and the entire county came down to seven parcels.
How the seven were found
Four public layers and a five-step analysis:
- Davidson County's parcel file, 286,920 polygons with land use and acreage, plus the county's FEMA flood hazard areas and Nashville's zoning districts, all from the city's open data portal. Interstates came from OpenStreetMap.
- Parcels were filtered to vacant land use over ten acres, then to those within half a mile of an interstate, then anything touching the 100-year floodplain was removed.
- Each survivor was matched to its zoning district and counted once, even where a parcel straddles two districts. Seven remained, listed in the table with land use, acreage, zoning and area.
What to ask next
Loosen or tighten any part of the screen in the conversation: a mile from the interstate, twenty acres, industrial zoning only, or add sewer and water lines if you have them. The seven will move. The method will not.
