Map and Report Tools

Tools for working with maps, reports, and data visualization

Map Legend

1. Click the Layers icon in the toolbar to open the legend panel. 2. Toggle layer visibility by clicking the checkbox next to each layer name. 3. Change map styles by selecting Light, Dark, or Satellite from the base map options. 4. Customize layer colors by clicking the color box next to each layer: i. Choose "Color" tab for simple single color changes or "Unique" tab for categorical coloring ii. For categorical coloring: select a data field, then click color boxes next to each unique value iii. Click "Apply to Map" to save your color changes

Map Table

1. Click the Table icon in the toolbar to open the data table at the bottom of the map. 2. Resize the table by clicking and dragging the grip handle at the top of the table up or down. 3. Switch between different data layers using the tabs at the top of the table. 4. Sort or Filter data by clicking on the context menu button of any column header 5. Resize columns by hovering over column borders and dragging left or right. 6. Close the table by clicking the Table icon in the toolbar again.

Map Insights

1. Click the Search icon in the toolbar to open the location search box at the top left of the map. 2. Type any location name, address, or place of interest in the search box. 3. Click on any search result to zoom the map to that location. 4. In the popup window that opens, type your question about the location in the text area. 5. Click the send arrow button or press Enter to submit your question to NeuraCities. 6. Delete the location marker by clicking the trash icon in the popup if needed.

Data Sources

1. Click the "Sources" button in the top-right corner of the map. 2. View the dropdown list showing all data sources for each map layer. 3. Click any source link to open the original data website in a new tab.

Fullscreen Mode

1. Click the Maximize icon in the toolbar to enter fullscreen mode. 2. The map will expand to fill your entire screen for better viewing. 3. Click the Minimize icon in the toolbar or the arrow button on the top left to exit fullscreen mode.

Report Editing

1. Click the Edit icon in the report toolbar to enter edit mode. 2. The toolbar will expand to show all formatting controls and editing options. 3. Format text using the basic controls: bold, italic, underline, font size, font family, text colors, text highlight, bullet points, or numbered list buttons. 4. Edit any text content directly by clicking and typing in the report. 5. Save your changes by clicking the "Save" button in the toolbar. 6. Cancel editing and revert changes by clicking the "Cancel" button. 7. Exit edit mode by clicking the arrow (>) icon to collapse the toolbar back to normal view.

Panel

1. Position your mouse cursor over the divider between the chat window and panel until it changes to a resize cursor. 2. Click and drag the divider left or right to adjust panel sizes 3. Release the mouse button when you reach your desired panel size.

Give us feedback

1. Look for the thumbs up and thumbs down icons below each assistant response. 2. Click the thumbs up (👍) button if the response was helpful and accurate. 3. Click the thumbs down (👎) button if the response needs improvement: a. A feedback form will appear with preset options" b. You can select quick feedback options or write custom feedback in the text area c. Click the send button or press Enter to submit your detailed feedback 4. The selected feedback button will highlight in teal (thumbs up) or red (thumbs down) to confirm your selection. 5. A "Thanks for your feedback!" message will briefly appear after submission.

Upload Data

1. Click the Upload button (folder icon) in the chat input area or welcome card. 2. Select files from your computer - supported formats include: a. Shapefiles (.shp, .dbf, .shx, .prj, .cpg) b. CSV files (.csv) c. Excel files (.xls, .xlsx) d. GeoJSON files (.geojson, .json) e. Images (.png) and PDFs (.pdf) 3. Preview uploaded files by clicking on them in the file list. 4. Remove unwanted files by clicking the X button next to each file. 5. You can upload up to 5 files at once.

New Chat

Click the Plus (+) button in the top navigation bar to start a new conversation.

Share

1. Find the conversation containing the map or report you want to share. 2. Click the three-dot menu (⋮) next to the conversation title. 3. Select "Share" from the dropdown menu to open the sharing dialog. 4. Choose your sharing method: a. Copy a public link that anyone can view b. Share with specific team members by selecting them from the list c. Share via social media platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, etc.) 6. Alternatively, you can also share conversations by clicking the share button in map or report toolbars.

Sidebar Navigation

1. Click the panel icon in the top navigation bar to open the sidebar. 2. Browse your conversation history and view shared conversations from team members in the "Shared with me" section below. 3. Click any conversation title to load that chat and its maps/reports. 4. Use the three-dot menu (⋮) next to conversations to: a. Share the conversation b. Rename the conversation c. Delete conversations

Profile Setup

1. Click your profile avatar in the top navigation bar to open the profile menu. 2. Select "Profile" to view your basic account information and change your password if needed. 3. From the profile menu, you can also access: a. Tutorial to learn NeuraCities features b. User Guide for detailed help documentation c. Privacy policy and terms of service d. Sign out of your account

Additional features for sharing, uploading, and invites

Invite System

1. Click the progress circle to view your credit usage. 2. Click "Invite Others" to see your personal invite link. 3. Share your unique invite link in several ways: a. Copy the link directly and share it manually b. Share via social media platforms (X/Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit) c. Send via email 4. Track your invite progress - you can refer up to 5 people maximum. 5. Earn 50 bonus credits for each successful invite when someone signs up using your invite link 7. Contact support for additional credit options beyond the invite program.

Badges and more credits!

1. Click the trophy icon to open the dialog and view your achievements. 2. Browse your earned badges in the "Badges" section, which are organized into three categories: a. Artifacts: Unlock badges by creating maps and reports b. Tools: Progress by using different tools c. Social: Earn the "Social Butterfly" badge by tagging NeuraCities on LinkedIn 3. Click any badge to flip it and read the fun facts about each achievement. 4. The "Bingo" shows your badge collection. 7. Each badge gets you 10 extra credits, and unlocking all the badges in the bingo gets you 200 extra credits.
